Fool Me Once - Official Music Video (Remix Ft. Imani)

Music video number 3 is for the “Fool Me Once” remix featuring artist Imani. This was a fun project to plan and film! I loved working with Imani in creating the concept for the music video, as well as recording the remix and acting in the music video. Shoutout to DJ Pest for being our videographer! Editing of the music video was done by DJ Pest and yours truly (me)! I don’t have a degree in computer science for nothing, was definitely excited to add some finishing touches to the project before releasing.

The skit idea involving discussing pros/cons of a guy on a whiteboard originated from what my best friend Omniya and I used to do in ASU Hayden Library rooms (a.k.a we ain’t new to this, lol. She can also be seen in the music video as the friend standing to the left of the whiteboard hyping my relationship up with pros! haha) And can I just say I love the red strappy pants from TLZ L'FEMME I wore in the photography studio scenes?? Don’t know where I’m wearing them to next but I’ve always been one that likes to experiment with fashion.

For those wondering, the red makeup look I created/rocked in this video doesn’t have a super deep meaning. Besides just being creative though, the red makeup on my eyes is there as a play on a “fool” or “clown”, since the idea behind the song is that a love interest thinks he can play me like a fool (no sir)! Also thought the look gave just a sprinkle of Harley Quinn vibes which I like.

I have one final remix on the horizon this year for a track off my debut album “Influence”, then we’ll be branching out into some NEW new music, and a possible EP before the year comes to a close.
