Influence - Debut Album

Influence, my debut album. Released on my 27th birthday (September 25 2020).

What a crazy year! I spent a better portion of 2020 going to various recording studios, buying new music equipment, setting up a studio in my bedroom, recording tracks, editing vocals using Logic Pro, etc. I wrote most of these songs in or prior to 2019, and have over 50+ song ideas I have yet to officially record and release. All in due time though. The process of releasing this album, as well as beginning to work on music videos has been challenging but rewarding. I grew up always wanting to be a singer, joining show choir in high school, participating in talent shows, and uploading song covers to YouTube. Now that I’m a stable college graduate turned engineer, it’s time to focus on what really makes me happy; my music.

My style of music is heavily influenced by the 90s since I’m a 90s kid and absolutely LOVE the 90s. However, it’s also influenced by songs I heard my dad playing growing up, from Earth Wind & Fire, to En Vogue and more. Being 1/2 Haitian, I have a love for Caribbean style music passed down from my mother. And on top of that, being born in California may be the cause for my addition to west coast hiphop beats. I titled my debut album “Influence” as tribute to all these different factors that helped shape my sound.
